The Best Wakeboard Tower Speakers

best wakeboard tower speakers

If you are looking for some quality, durable, and downright bumpin’ speakers to strap onto your wakeboard tower, look no further than Kicker’s KM Coaxial Marine Speakers. Out of all the different brands and types I have tried in the past, these are easily the best wakeboard tower speakers I have ever owned. The Coaxial Marine Speakers project great volume with quality sound on the lake. They have the capability to turn an already fantastic boat day into a full blown party. The best part is that you can hear the music even while you’re wakeboarding because the speakers are able to drown out the noise of the engine, and easily reach your ears 65-70 feet behind the boat where you are riding. Lets dive into what makes Kicker’s speakers elite:

Power & Sound

Each speaker boasts a powerful 300 watts, and they come in pairs, so they combine for a total of 600 watts. This can produce a sound of up to 92 decibels, about as loud as a Harley Davidson blowing past you 20 feet away. This means that these speakers can get up there in sound, easily projecting music over large surface areas of water, perfect for people (like myself) that love being able to hear the tunes while they are wakeboarding.

Completely Water and Sun Proof

These speakers are 100% waterproof and come stuffed with UV-treated woofers and are encased in UV-resistant polymer baskets. This means whether the speakers are baking in the sun on a hot day at the lake, or taking the brunt of splashes and waves when cruising in rough water, you can be confident that they will keep the music pumping. Mount them on the top of your wakeboard tower, or install them in the hull of your boat. Wherever you keep them you can rest assured that they will perform well and withstand the elements.

Easy Mount/Install

When you order the bundle that I linked above, it will come with four 8″ speakers, and subsequently 4 UV-resistant polymer cases to protect them from the sun. It also comes with mounting screws, mounting screw clips, and rubber inserts which are used to secure the speakers to the tower itself. You will need a drill in order to install the speakers as you have to drill into the wakeboard tower to screw the speakers in place. It is rather easy to get the speakers attached and hanging from your wakeboard tower if you are decent with power tools, the only tricky part is running the speaker wires through the tower and through the boat to attach it to the amplifier. If you aren’t a super handyman type, I would recommend possibly getting your speakers installed professionally, or at least watching some YouTube tutorials first (this one helped me).

Style

Lastly, one of my favorite thing about these speakers is that they look great. They have a titanium finish to them with a speaker face that looks futuristic with its white and charcoal grilles. Also, these speakers come with a seven color LED system, so you can change the light coming out of the face to red, green pink, orange, or whatever color you are feeling that day. It is the icing on top of an awesome sound system that will look great and add so much value and enjoyment to your days on the lake.

Its hard to go wrong with Kicker’s KM Coaxial Marine Speakers, I’ve been using them for about 4 months now and I couldn’t be happier. From me to you, its worth the money and time to get these installed on your boat. They are a game changer.
